In cooperation with our partners and colleagues, F.I.R. offers the following services.

A shooting or murder incident may involve reports and opinions from crime scene evidence specialists, toxicologists, firearms analysis, blood pattern analysis, and toxicology reports. FIR specializes in analyzing expert opinions, interpreting the reports, and explaining the significance of the evidence in terms that are clear and understandable.

Bob’s career includes 28 years as a police officer and investigator, and 15 years as a licensed investigator. During hi police career Bob was a crime scene investigator, accident investigator, and reconstructionist. After retiring, Bob opened his own investigative firm, while continuing to instruct police officers in advanced crime scene techniques and collision analysis at multiple police academies in the DFW area.
Bob has specialized training in crime and crash reconstruction, advanced techniques in crime scene evidence collection, and crime scene photography. His forensic investigation includes advanced coursework in crime scene investigation, crime reconstruction, and blood pattern analysis. Bob has attended advanced training courses in Commercial Vehicle Inspection and Investigation, Event Data Recorder Analysis, advanced forensic mapping techniques, pedestrian and bicycle accident reconstruction, motorcycle accident reconstruction, and speed estimation from damage (Crush) analysis, His full curriculum vitae is available on this website.
Bob is now a full-time faculty member and senior lecturer at the University of North Texas where he teaches courses in Criminal Investigation, Criminalistics, and Crime Scene Investigations. His academic credentials and authorship of textbooks highlight his dedication. As a Senior Lecturer at UNT, Bob continues to educate future professionals.
